You don't need another somebody claiming to be a business consultant, telling you how to handle your business.

What you do need is to know how to convert more of the people that visit your sites, online communities and events into paying purchasing customers, before they run off and tell all their friends exactly how wonderful your new flash page is.

There's a brand new math in advertising.
The old math in which you have no idea of exactly how many people are actually responding to those expensive advertising campaigns on the radio, television, newspapers and magazines are gone.

And the new math that tells you almost everything you need to know about your potential customer and let's them know that you've got what they're looking for.

Online sales are up, while brick and mortar retail sales are down.
Business are increasing their online advertising budgets, for one reason. It's like having someone walk into the area of a store that has what they are looking for and being able to go straight to it.

Let's say you sell an item at $100 and it cost you about, $10 to put on display for sale.
What if it cost you an additional $1 for every sale and you increased you sales by 100 units per month.
100 - 10 -1 x 100 = 8900 makes sense to me.
That's the mind that's trying to compete against you. 

In the new advertising model you can pay for 
  • the number of times your ad is seen, if you're working to push your brand recognition up or
  • the number of clicks that result in visits directly to the item you're selling
But you've got to do a few things first. And all of it adds up to study. You know home work, research, thinking. You've got to learn the meanings new words and phrases like, Page Views, Market Share, Unique Visitors. 
You've got to learn how to focus your advertising directly to the people that are looking for what you sell.
Not to your name, (because when you click your name, you come up first. Try it) Now try Googling what your business does or sells. Try it again.  You have to know what sites the customers you want visit when they don't know your name.
